Joining Converge Rocky Mountain

Stronger Churches. More Lives Changed.

Many churches across the Rocky Mountain region lead with deep conviction and a heart for their communities, yet do so without the support of a broader network walking alongside them. You are carrying the weight of mission, navigating change, and making important decisions in a unique ministry context. Converge Rocky Mountain exists to come alongside your church with trusted relationships and a long term commitment to your health and impact.

Who we are

Converge Rocky Mountain is a network of churches across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and surrounding areas, united by a shared desire to see lives changed by the gospel. We focus on starting new churches and strengthening existing ones by investing in pastors and leaders through coaching, practical resources, and meaningful relationships with peers who understand your context.

How affiliation works

Affiliating with Converge Rocky Mountain does not require membership fees or dues. Churches give voluntarily as they are able, partnering together to plant new churches and strengthen existing ones across our region. This shared generosity allows churches in every season to participate fully in the mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to be part of Converge?
No. There are no required fees or dues to join Converge, and churches are never pressured to give. We invite churches to practice voluntary generosity as they experience value and alignment. By pooling our resources, we are able to start new churches, strengthen existing ones, and advance the mission together in ways none of us could do alone.
How long does the process take to become part of Converge?
Most churches complete the process within two to four months, depending on alignment and the pace at which materials are submitted. The process is intentionally relational rather than bureaucratic. You will walk alongside one of our leaders to ensure clarity, shared values, and a strong sense of mutual fit before moving forward.
Is Converge a denomination?
Yes, but not in the way most people think of a denomination. Converge is best understood as a network of churches united by a shared evangelical Statement of Faith and a long history of working together for mission. We do not control local churches, own property, appoint pastors, or dictate ministry decisions. Converge exists to support, connect, and resource churches while fully honoring the autonomy of the local church. Most pastors experience Converge not as an overseeing institution, but as a relational network that walks alongside them with shared values, trust, and mission.
Do I have to change my doctrinal statement if I join Converge?
No. Churches are not required to change their doctrinal statement to join Converge. We simply ask that your church’s core beliefs align with our broad evangelical Statement of Faith and that there are no direct conflicts. The process is relational and transparent, taking time to understand your theological convictions, answer questions, and ensure genuine alignment while honoring the distinctives of the local church.
Why should I consider being part of Converge?
Converge is a movement of churches working together to see lives changed by the gospel. When you join Converge, you are not simply affiliating with an organization. You are gaining a trusted team that walks with you as you lead. Pastors choose Converge because they value support without control, relationships without bureaucracy, and shared mission without sacrificing local church autonomy. Whether you are navigating leadership challenges, developing leaders, planting a church, or discerning next steps, Converge comes alongside you with coaching, resources, and relationships that help you lead well and extend your impact.
Can I be part of another denomination or network and also be part of Converge?
Yes. In some cases, dual affiliation makes sense. This is often true for churches with long standing relationships with a denomination or network that helped start them, or when there are relational or historical factors that require wisdom and care. Many churches choose to join Converge while remaining connected to another group because Converge provides coaching, resources, and relational support they may not be receiving elsewhere. As long as there is clarity and healthy understanding among church leadership, dual affiliation can work well.
What resources are available if I join Converge?
Churches that partner with Converge gain access to a wide range of relational and practical support. This includes pastoral coaching and leadership development, guidance during pastoral transitions, church planting training and assessment, and tools for strengthening church health and clarifying vision. Churches also have access to counseling resources for pastors and their families, mission opportunities in the U.S. and Caribbean, and a trusted community of pastors and leaders who walk with you, not over you. Converge comes alongside your church with the right support at the right time, based on your unique context and needs.
Will Converge have authority over my church or leadership decisions?
No. Converge does not have authority over your church, its leadership, or its ministry decisions. Your church remains fully autonomous. Converge exists to serve as a support and resource, not a governing body. We come alongside pastors and leaders to offer coaching and perspective when invited, while fully respecting the authority and responsibility God has entrusted to local church leadership.
