Overview of Second Session
This course will explore models and themes for formation, streams of thinking regarding spiritual formation, models of transformation and faith development, and cultural and gender dimensions of formation models and traditions. This course will be taught primarily through the use of discussion, case study examination, small-group and individual reflection, video and lecture presentations. This course is a required formation course for M.A. students (SP505) and the first of three required formation courses for M.Div.
Participants:
Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Key leaders, anyone wanting to further their understanding of God's Word, His Church and their role in it.
Purpose and Vision:
The School of Church Leadership provides an accredited educational opportunity to professional and lay leaders throughout Converge Rocky Mountain. The school will feature regional classes delivered by gifted facilitators as well as through online courses through a deepening partnership with Bethel Theological Seminary.
A Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership with Church Leadership Emphasis can be obtained from Bethel Seminary by completing the six regional classes along with six online courses offered through the seminary. A bachelor's degree is a prerequisite for those seeking the Masters degree. Online courses can be taken concurrently with the regional classes. A certificate from Bethel Seminary will be presented to those completing the six regional courses.
